Welcome to my web page!

I’m honored to be back in Olympia serving North Seattle and the 46th District. Our district includes some of Seattle’s finest neighborhoods, such as Haller Lake, Maple Leaf, Laurelhurst, Windermere, Greenwood, and Lake City.

My work as a representative is dedicated to serving the people of the 46th District and working for the well-being of everyone who calls Washington home. I believe our government should reflect our values—including respect for the rights of working families, compassion for the less fortunate among us, respect for a diverse community and devotion to the principles that made America great.

I’m happy to report that I was selected to be the first Chair of the new Community Development and Housing Committee, which includes economic development and trade. I pledge to use this position to work with business and labor—and the entire spectrum of our people—to nurture job growth, a stronger economy and even stronger communities.

Despite my new responsibilities, you can count on me to continue my passionate support for educational opportunity—from pre-school to graduate school. Having previously chaired the Higher Education Committee for many years, I know that education is the key to our long-term prosperity.

I’m also serving on the Labor and Workforce Development Committee and the Ways & Means Committee, where I will be a voice for working families and for a state budget that truly meet the needs of Washington’s people.

At the end of the day, my legislative interests are as diverse as the wonderful communities I represent. And I’m always eager to hear from the people I serve; so please contact me any time with your thoughts and suggestions.

Best wishes,

Phyllis
