Rep. Mark Miloscia

Thank you visiting my web page.

I have the honor of representing the 30th District, which includes Federal Way as well as Algona, and parts of Auburn, Milton, Pacific and Des Moines.

I love our part of Washington. We’ve been hit hard by the recession, like other parts of the state, but we’ve kept our sense of community. We care about good schools and government services for those in need, but we also insist on getting full value for every tax dollar.

Ever since I’ve been a representative for our area, I’ve tried to focus attention on the need to make government more efficient, accountable and responsive. I’ve had some success in leading passage of performance audits and government reforms, but the current recession has proved that we must do even better—much better—at getting more value and efficiency from government.

I think the key to improving government is to listen to the people government serves. In schools, that means listening to teachers and parents—and students. In economic development, it means listening to business owners and workers. In social services, it means listening to senior citizens, people with disabilities and others who need help that only government can provide. That’s why I believe that listening is one of the most important parts of my job.

If you have ideas, suggestions or questions, please let me know. Serving you is an honor and a pleasure.

Sincerely,

Mark
