Welcome!
I am once again proud to have the opportunity to serve my friends and neighbors of the 35th district. From the shores of Bremerton to the picturesque farmlands of Oakville in the south, our district is one of the most varied and beautiful in the state. With countless acres of forest, rugged mountains, and crystal-clear lakes, there is much to admire and preserve. Since 1999 I have had the responsibility to uphold the ideals and concerns of my constituents. I look forward to the commitment ahead.
I hope you’ll find this website helpful. You’ll find information about how the enduring values of good jobs, strong schools and affordable, accessible health care are driving the House Democratic agenda — along with the overarching goal of making the Evergreen State the best place in the world to live, work and raise a family.
We’ve included links to a wealth of legislative information and to many other valuable websites. You can track the progress of bills here, delve into the all-important state budget details, access government agencies, or simply use this portal to tell me and other elected officials how you feel about a particular issue.
In the end, most of us want to know what our government is doing, why it is doing what it does, and how efficiently it is going about the business of the people. That is, after all, state government’s primary charge, and I encourage you to use this website to gain answers to all those questions, and more.
Again, your ideas, comments, questions and suggestions are always appreciated. It’s an honor and a challenge to represent the many diverse people of the 35th district, and I thank you for your trust.
Sincerely,
Kathy Haigh
