Rep. Cindy Ryu
Assistant Majority Whip

Rep. Ryu on the American Dream:

Thank you for visiting my web page!

I’m proud to serve the 32nd Legislative District, which includes Shoreline, Edmonds, Lake Forest Park, Kenmore, parts of Kirkland and other great areas in North King and South Snohomish Counties.

I’m fortunate to represent communities that take great pride in our schools, businesses, workforce, and quality of life.  We believe in education, compassion for the unfortunate, respect for the elderly, and a sustainable environment—and we believe that everyone who works hard deserves a fair chance to succeed in a job or business. These are core values with us, and I will be a passionate advocate for our values in Olympia.

These are challenging times for our state economy and budget. But when I was President of the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce, I saw first-hand that we can meet any challenge when people work together for the common good. We need more of that spirit in government.

As a successful local business owner, community member, past Mayor of Shoreline, and the first Korean-American woman ever elected to our state House of Representatives, I have personally experienced the truth that America is the land of the free and the land of opportunity. We all share a responsibility to keep our communities and democracy strong, and the Legislature must do its part to support our public infrastructure.

We also need a government that listens to people, and my door will always be open to you. So I hope you’ll always feel free to share your ideas and suggestions with me. By working together, we can make the kind of Washington we want for our community, our children and future generations.

Let’s keep in touch!

Please call my office at (360) 786-7880 or my cell phone at (206) 605-1588.
