Not sure who your lawmaker is? Find out quickly by using the District Finder. You can also learn more about participating in the process on the Legislature's main web site.
You have a problem with a state agency.
Are you having a rough time getting an answer? Are people not returning your
phone calls? We can often serve as your advocate and help you get answers
you need to solve your problem.
You have questions or comments about a bill.
To most effectively represent you, we need to know what you think about
bills moving through the Legislature. If you want to know more about a
proposed law or issue you’ve read or heard about, please call us. We can
send you bill summaries, answer questions, or put you in touch with
legislative and agency experts.
You have an idea for legislation.
Please let us know your ideas about legislation. Ideas from constituents,
business & community leaders often make the best laws, because they are
based on actual personal experience.
You want to testify before a committee.
If you feel strongly about a bill or issue, you may want to consider
testifying before a legislative committee, either in person or in writing.
Lawmakers need to hear what folks at home think. Your representative can
alert you to hearing dates and give you advice on effective testimony.
Committees also send agendas by e-mail; you can
sign up on
the e-mail lists page.
You just need help.
If you need a suggestion to resolve a problem, we’ll do our best to help!
And if we can’t help, we often know who can.
