During the 2009 Legislative Session, I spoke at a press conference in support of the Neah Bay rescue tug bill (House Bill 1409), which provided permanent, year-round funding for an emergency response vessel to help prevent oil spills in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The bill was signed by the Governor into law on 3/24/2009.
