OLYMPIA – Despite an overall reduction in the capital budget, the House and Senate propose funding projects to build a stronger infrastructure while putting people back to work in the 45 District.
“Securing any funding is difficult given our current economic circumstances, but we must continue to build and revitalize our economy by investing in our community,” Rep. Larry Springer (D-Kirkland) said. “I am committed to assuring our district, and every district in Washington, benefit from these projects.”
“The projects we will invest in with this construction budget are real community assets,” said Rep. Roger Goodman (D-Kirkland). “With the state moving forward on these projects, we’re setting our communities up to come out of this downturn stronger.”
Below is a list of some of the capital budget projects that the House and Senate both recommended funding for the 45 District. These projects are highly likely to receive funding for the next biennium.
