Dear Neighbors,

Welcome to my website! I’m a strong believer in open government and involved citizens. This website is intended to help you obtain information about various aspects of state government, especially important issues affecting our schools and colleges, jobs, health care, community safety and the environment. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact my office.

As I work for you in Olympia, I will concentrate addressing the issues that concern people in the 21^st District and creating opportunities for everyone. I hope to:

• make sure we have the best possible education system, starting with a child's earliest years through life-long learning;
  
• create a well-educated, technology-focused workforce to keep and attract employers offering good-paying jobs;
• improve our transportation infrastructure to make it safer and easier to walk, bike or drive to our destination; and
  
• assure safe communities through a greater emphasis on prevention and early intervention.
