Public hearing on hydraulic project approval process

The House Agriculture and
Natural Resources Committee will hold a public hearing on House Bill
2530, which:
-
Requires
the Department of Fish and Wildlife to conduct a study regarding the
effectiveness of the existing hydraulics project approval permitting
system; and
-
Prohibits the Department of Fish
and Wildlife from approving or renewing any hydraulics project
approvals within the Maury Island Aquatic Reserve for any
commercial, industrial, or barge-loading facilities.
