Appropriations Subcommittee on
General Government & Audit Review
The House Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and Audit
Review considers issues relating to funding of general government
programs and agencies and makes funding recommendations to the
Appropriations Committee. The subcommittee also reviews fiscal and
performance audits of state programs and agencies and makes
recommendations to the Appropriations Committee for actions related to
audit findings.
Education
The House Education Committee considers kindergarten through twelfth
grade (K-12) educational policy and finance issues.
Housing
The House Housing Committee considers issues relating to the
accessibility and affordability of housing, state assistance to
low-income housing, landlord-tenant laws, manufactured housing and
mobile homes, housing authorities and the Housing Finance Commission.
State
Government & Tribal Affairs
The House State Government and Tribal Affairs Committee considers issues
relating to the processes of government, including state agency
rule-making, state government reorganization, election laws, public
disclosure, campaign reform, ethics laws, various public employee laws,
and certain state agencies and the offices of elected state officials
that are not under the purview of another committee. The committee also
considers issues relating to veterans and the government-to-government
relationship of the state and Indian tribes.
