LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES:
Transportation – Moving forward with the SR 520 bridge replacement despite the failure of Prop. 1.
 

K -12 Education ­– Addressing the Math WASL failure rate in a way that prepares students for success and maintains the integrity of the WASL.

Higher Education -- Working with colleges, universities and businesses to develop strategies to improve access, quality and affordability. 

Accountable Government – Changing the focus of budgeting from spending funding to results delivered.

Healthcare – Designing a statewide healthcare system that focuses on making patients lives better, rather than the bureaucratic wrangling over gets care, what drugs are covered, and who pays for what.

  • Married to Susan, School Psychologist, Mukilteo School District
  • Children: Aric, Keith, Cathy (and Cathy and her partner Grace's foster children Diana, Esther and Alondra) and Amy (and Amy and Kaleb's sons, Tristan and Ashton!)
