McGann serves as page for Rep. FromholdMarch 16, 2007 OLYMPIA — There's an easy way for high school students to learn about democracy: go to the state Legislature in Olympia and see it first-hand. Since 1891, students have come from across the state to serve as pages in the Senate and House of Representatives. Recently, Peter McGann of Vancouver spent a week serving as a page for Rep. Bill Fromhold. Peter, 14, is the son of Neville Bayly and Bill McGann. He is an eighth-grade student at Cascadia School. “I am happy to have shared a little piece of the legislative process with Peter. My hope is that young people like him, who serve as pages in Olympia, stay involved and interested in politics,” said Rep. Fromhold.
